  1. this shaper def has me stoked i like his outlook

  2. I bought my first first real surfboard (after ronjon junk) from Red Dog surf shop in New Smyrna in the early 90s. It was an Alekai labeled fun shape I had made by Steve with a custom sunset color fade.

I subsequently bought a couple more fun shape,s a thruster or 2, and most recently a 9 3 performance longboard.

I only talked to Steve a couple of times about what I was after, but he had a great feel for the surf here in Florida, and helped make my surfing the joy that it is.

If you read this Steve, know your boards have enhanced the joy of surfing for me. I think of you with fondness.

By the way. my 9 year old is riding a Nirvana labeled thruster you made for me back in ‘92 or so.

    Thanks for many happy memories.

    Erik
